Peter Kostenniemi has a PhD in comparative literature from Stockholm University and has been working as a university teacher and postdoctoral researcher at Umeå University. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at Linköping University, TEMA Barn, financed by the Swedish Research Council. Kostenniemi’s previous research focused on gothic children’s literature and his current research project explores relations between children’s literature and discourses revolving around unpleasant and evil children. Apart from his doctoral thesis Hemsökt barndom: Bilder av barnet i gotisk barnlitteratur (2022), Kostenniemi has written articles on issues such as post-apocalyptic fiction for children and images of entrepreneurship in children’s culture.
